ESSCS Postponed

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the first European Summer School in Canadian Studies had to be postponed. It will now take place from 26 July to August 2021.

Please note that our work on next year's programme is still in progress and that the information on this website has not yet been updated.

Application Process  

  1. The registration deadline is on February 29, 2020.
    In case you are interested in financial aid, please tick the corresponding box on the registration form. 
  2. The nomination of students by the organizers of the ESSCS will be decided by March 6, 2020. (Note that the number of applicants is limited.)
  3. Students will be informed immediately about the outcome of their application and can then confirm their application for financial aid. 
  4. Between March 9, 2020 and March 20, 2020, Austrian students should contact the Canadian Studies Centre in Innsbruck for further information. International and EU/EEA students should contact the partners mentioned below (unless they have already been in contact with them since the beginning of the application process). 
  5. The payment deadline is on April 10, 2020.

  • "Intensive German Course“ (July 27-August 14, 2020) at the University of Innsbruck, including free lodging 

Innsbruck's vicinity to Italy, Germany, and Switzerland makes it an ideal starting point for travelling in Europe in the two weeks between the end of the ESSCS and the beginning of the intensive German course.
